Our natural instinct is to want to see the reward immediately. We seek it. And that brings us adversity and pain, along with the good.
Those who can stay patient have a massive advantage over those who can’t.
We even mistake the feeling of reward for the reward itself, most of the time. This makes us people who constantly argue, explain themselves or try to be right all the time. It’s hard not to do that, especially in this age where there is little friction and barrier between you and the other person whom you wish to be in contact with.
But we somehow need to learn to let the work and the actions speak for themselves. And to do that, we need to actually do the work.
What we need to constantly be reminded of is that there’s a difference between talking about it and being about it.
